The Scottish Public Services Ombudsman

The Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO) looks into complaints where a member of the public claims to have suffered injustice or hardship as a result of maladministration or service failure.

This includes complaints about Scottish Water and some, but not all, licensed providers. Complaints about remaining licensed providers are handled by WICS. Please see this page for a list of which licensed providers’ complaints are handled by which body.

All customers must first go through the formal complaints procedure of the organisation concerned.
